John Randle

About

I am a PGA of Canada golf coach in Parksville, BC and am the Director of Golf at Morningstar GC. I have been playing golf for over 35 years. A native of Victoria, BC, I played junior golf at Uplands GC before attending the University of Washington where I played on the golf team for 4 years and earned a Bachelor of Psychology degree.

After graduation I turned pro and played on tour from 1990 – 1997. My travels included seven years on the Canadian Tour, two seasons on the South African PGA Tour and extensive play on mini tours in the U.S. My playing career was highlighted by two events on the PGA Tour.

At the end of 1997 I turned my focus to teaching the game and through hard work and good fortune, I have become one of Canada’s most sought after instructors. I am very happy to be back in Victoria coaching and giving golf lessons.

My approach to helping golfers improve is to first get to know their sport, golf, injury and lesson history. I then assess their fitness, equipment and skills as they relate to their goals. After combining these findings with club delivery, ball flight and other swing related data, we put together an improvement plan guaranteed to achieve our goals of either lower scores, better ball striking or both.
