PING Challenge Cup
The PING Challenge Cup is an annual Ryder Cup-style team competition between PGA of Ottawa Head Professionals and Assistant Professionals.
It is sponsored by PING Canada and hosted at various golf courses in the Eastern Ontario region over the years.
The event pits two 12-person teams against each other in a format that includes team better-ball/alternate shot and singles matches. The goal is bragging rights between the two groups of PGA professionals.

Ping Challenge Cup Points are tracked throughout the season at the following events:
- Spring Open presented by Cobra Puma Golf
- Dynamic Tee Championship
- Summer Open presented by Cobra Puma Golf
- ClubEG Pro-Pro presented by ClubEG
- Ladies, Senior, and Assistants Championship
- Zone Championship presented by Cleveland/Srixon
- Fall Open
All points accumulated from the events will factor into one complete ranking list where the top 7 Head Professionals and 7 Assistant Professionals will make their respective teams. One spot will be reserved for the top lady in each category as well as two spots for top seniors in each category.
Two spots on each team will be reserved as Captain’s Picks. Alternate list will be the next in line based on season points.
All players must adhere to the rules and code of conduct of the event.
